Who we Are
The Westminster Rescue Mission (WRM) is an independent, non-denominational, Christian residential rehabilitation center. Founded in 1969, this non-profit outreach ministry is presently located on a 29 acre farm and is governed by a 12 member Board of Directors. The mission is deeply committed to helping men with drug and alcohol abuse problems through the name of Jesus Christ, believing that He alone is the answer and gives the power for transformation.
Our Program
Our primary program is a 6 month residential (in-house) recovery program that prepares men for indpendent, responsible living. In addition, we have a 10 week halfway program and we operate a 3 day emergency shelter. We provide 3 meals a day and clothing as needed. We conduct intensive Christ centered, Bible based studies. The entire mission is supported by gifts. We do not charge our residents and accept no government funding.
Our Facilities
God has blessed us with a newly contructed building housing a 65 bed dormitory, large dinning area , kitchen, recreational areas, a chapel and offices. In this peaceful rural farm setting, we also have vocational shops, a clothing warehouse and a thrift store. We operate another thrift store in the town of Westminster where we help the less fortunate in our community while converting gifts of durable good into much needed operating funds.
Our Activities
Our day begins with early rise from bed and breakfast followed by a 30 minute Bible Study. Each man is assigned chores to accomplish during the day including work on the farm. In the afternoon we have a one hour Bible study and evening worship services following dinner. We also have counseling and prayer sessions. Local church attendance is encouraged. Throughout the week we offer GED, Alcoholics Victorious meetings, Overcomers and other recreational activities

How you can help
Pray
Our most urgent request is for your prayers. Please include the Westminster Rescue Mission in your regular prayer time. Pray that the God will pour out His Holy Spirit on us; that He will reveal His will to us; that He will give us the power to overcome the forces of evil. Satan uses drugs and alcohol as a powerful tool to destroy the lives of men and women. Pray that God will put a hedge around us and all those who come to the Westminster Rescue Mission for help.
Give
Unlike the secular programs, we do not charge the men that come to us for help. It costs a lot of money to maintain our facilities, pay our staff, and operate our program. We do not receive any government funds so we rely on the generosity of God's people. Even the small gifts are essential to our survival, especially when given on a regular basis. You can also help with donations of food, clothing, household goods and unused vehicles. What we can't use at the mission we sell at our stores. You gifts will make a difference in redeeming the lives of men caught in the grip of sin. The needs list below will help you to identify way in which you can help. We have also made provision for you to donate on-line with your credit card over a secure server by clicking on the logo below.

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hidden. Mat 5:14
Be a light!
Our Vision, We want:
Men at the WRM to have a vision in life of what they want and where they want to be in three to five years down the road.
Men to overcome their addiction and be re-united with their families.
To point men to the one that can make it happen, Jesus Christ.
Through our stores to help many men, women and children by giving them clothing, shelter, shoes and furniture.
Our Mission
Our purpose at Westminster Rescue Mission is to lead lost souls to Jesus Christ that He might cleanse them from sin and free them from the bondages of addiction, restoring them to their families and communities as faithful servents of Christ.
